A typical day at the Festival often starts with a highly entertaining morning talk on offer in one of the hotels. Children are welcomed at a morning Circus Skills Workshop, at the Bandstand. In the afternoon, there could be best dressed competitions, children's fancy dress, Mini Music Hall, Victorian Tea Dance.
Throughout the nine days of the Festival, there will be many competitions for you to participate in or spectate. They include Daily Best Dressed Lady, Gent and Child - Mr, Mrs, Master and Miss Llandrindod (first Sunday) - Victorian Child, Best Decorated Hat. Children can have lots of fun taking part in the themed fancy dress competitions, (Parade of the Animals, Best Urchin, Mary Poppins /Chimney Sweep. Our competitions are not just for dressing up, we have the popular Scavanger Hunt, also children can obtain activity and quiz sheets from the office with different themes relevant to the activities on that particular day.
You might simply wish to soak up the atmosphere on Temple Gardens by wandering around the craft Marquee, watching the entertainment on the Festival stage and Bandstand, having a Victorian portrait taken or just relaxing with a cup of tea.
