Step back in time to the 1800s
This year,the Llandrindod Wells Victorian Festival, promises to bring you an exciting selection of events that are sure to please the whole family. Whatever your age, you are bound to find something that will interest you, and bring a smile to your face, some might even find you breaking into fits of laughter. The surrounding backdrop of incredible Victorian architecture dating from the spa town's heyday, in the late 1800's, further enhances the festivities.

Take a trip down memory lane, and rekindle those feelings of nostalgia with our many entertainers. Street Entertainers will enthral you with their many skills. Join in the fun of our Afternoon of Dance as Appalachian Dancers and the Indian Dance Group take to the streets. Watch the spectacle of the Victorian Costume Parades and best dressed competitions. Men, here's your chance to heckle the ladies as they surge on Middleton Street as Suffragettes on the last Sunday at 4.00 p.m.

There will also be Mini Music Halls, a Pot Pourri of Victorian Musical Gems', the Suffragettes March  and Victorian Tea Dances. Choose from a variety of talks on all subjects relating to the Victorian era. Exhibitions are of plenty, and local clubs and organisations have really pulled out the stops to produce interesting displays. Look out for our very own 'Queen Victoria'. Relax on Temple Gardens and enjoy the many Bandstand concerts, whilst partaking of the superb refreshments on offer from our Food Court.

Grand Raffle  Don't forget to purchase your raffle ticket, which will be on sale during Festival week, with a top prize of £1000 which will be drawn after the firework display on the last Sunday.

 The Buttered Muffins Theatre Company, will have you rolling around with laughter and participating in their variety of entertainment, as they perform throughout the day on the Festival Stage, with lots of audience participation. Face painters and magic shows all take place in the centre of the town.

We also have a plethora of evening events to suit all tastes from Ball at Balmoral to Music Hall, Murder Mystery, Talgarth Male Voice Choir, Musical Interlude with Ffrindiau ,Llandrindod Wells Town Silver Band and Rhayader Male Voice Choir and of course The Grand Ball, in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, plus many more events on offer.
The culmination of the Festival is a stunning torchlight procession and spectacular fireworks display over the town's beautiful lake, a breathtaking sight not to be missed.

With many, many more events going on throughout the nine days, there is sure to be something for every member of the family, and we hope that you come along and experience all the fun of the Festival for yourselves.
